IT Service & Solutions Delivery Analyst - NOC 2282

More about the job:

We are looking for an IT Service & Solutions Delivery Analyst to fill a part-time position (at least 20 hours per week). We will offer an hourly wage of $31.25+ depending on the experience and qualifications.


Hiring preference is given to qualified candidates who self-identify as: Yukon First Nation; or; another Canadian Aboriginal ancestry.


Requirement:

· 7+ years’ experience in IT support and service environment

· 2+ years of supervisory experience

· Must have a bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar. Masters in similar would be preferred.

· Experience with the following technologies.

o Windows Server 2003/2008R2/2012R2/2016/2019; Linux Servers: CentOS, Ubuntu; Active Directory; IIS and Apache; Microsoft Exchange, Postfix, Sendmail; Microsoft SQL and MySQL; Intel, HP ProLiant, IBM Servers, Dell PowerEdge; VMware and Hyper-V; Routers, Switches, Firewall, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP and LDAP; Web Hosting; Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or OpenStack; Git-Hub;

· Certifications preferred: CCNA, MCP, MCSE or similar.


  

Responsibilities:

IT operations:

  • Confer with clients the identified and documented requirements and provide advice on information systems policy, management, security and service delivery as well as contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches 
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems 
  • Develop and document software testing plans 
  • Execute, analyze and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests 
  • Develop and implement software and information system testing policies, procedures and script 
  • Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications
  • Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks 
  • Install software and hardware and configure operating system software in preparation for testing 
  • Provide problem-solving services to end-users 
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations 
  • Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls 
  • Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks 
  • Supervise staff and contractors assigned to the projects


IT Service Delivery:

  • Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines 
  • Design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems      
  • Communicate electronically and in-person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Emulate or reproduce technical problems encountered by users 
  • Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
  • Leading a team of geographically dispersed technical resources to deliver technology projects on time and within budget for the domain and geography for which they have responsibility 
  • Maintaining end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction and overall delivery excellence 
  • Juggling multiple and conflicting priorities in a timely and sensitive way, with full transparency to the clients 
  • Be knowledgeable about optimal solutions while helping clients understand features, resource constraints and prioritisation


Information System Support:

  • Train and provide technical support for users 
  • Develop and document software testing plans 
  • Install software and hardware and configure operating system software in preparation for testing
  • Execute, analyze and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients/vendors      
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements for each project 
  • Develop specialized computer software routines, database and business applications to customize geographic information 
  • Work with external organizations on data transfer and systems compatibility issues 
  • Maintain project documentation; Develop presentations, spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
